The Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act (Act 132 of 2008) requires contractors who perform home improvements for which the total cash value is $5,000 or more per year to register with the Office of Attorney General. The Act also provides protection for consumers who hire contractors to perform home improvements on their residential properties.
